CCS-DSS collaborates across the Laboratory in basic and applied simulation science
research as well as theoretical and conceptual products in applications projects,
especially in D Division. For example, the TRANSIMS project involves D-DO, D-1,
CCS-DSS, D-4, D-5, and D-10, and EpiSims involves D-1, CCS-DSS, D-5, B-1, CCN-12, and
T-CNLS. CCS-DSS contributes to projects led by other groups, for example, the enhance
reliability efforts of D-1, and the cross-group NISAC effort led by D-DO. CCS-DSS
leads LDRD in fundamentals of simulation science that includes collaboration with
D-1 and CCS-3. Other CCS-DSS led LDRD collaborations include Advanced Techniques in
Markov Chains with T-13 and CCS-3, Extremal Optimization with CCS-3 and Combinatorial
Optimization with CCS-3 and T-10. External collaborations are highlighted by the
Simulation-Based Ad-Hoc Network project with DARPA.
