Douglas J. Roberts

I have been a technical staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory for the past 16 years. Presently,   I work in the Basic and Applied Simulation Science (CCS-5) group. My work consists  of designing complex agent-based simulation systems for a variety of application  areas which have included large transportation infrastructure systems, electrical  power market systems, and decision support analysis platforms. Prior to joining  LANL, I was on the staff at the Westinghouse ECF at the Idaho National Engieneering  Laboratory, and prior to that I was a consultant for Occidental Petroleum  in Lybia, North Africa. My primary interests include

Zymurgy - A Definition

Noun --- That branch of chemistry which deals with fermentation, as in winemaking, brewing, distilling, the preparation of yeast, etc .

When not brewing some of the world's best English-style ales, I can usually be found designing agent-based simulations of large, complex systems, and/or distributed object oriented implementations of simulations and decision support analysis platforms.
